Job Description - Commercial Manager

Role

The company is currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join its Sales Department in Jordan. The Commercial Manager will participate in the company’s strategic meetings as an essential active member of  the strategic team who will be responsible also for directing and assisting the sales team and establishing annual sales plans and strategies. The commercial manager shall be responsible for designing, managing and supporting, under the general guidelines of the Managing Director, all sales activities of the assigned Business Unit to further develop the company’s potential and enlarge its market share.

Duties and Responsibilities

  The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Participate with the Managing Director in implementing up-to-date sales procedures, forecasts, sales programs, and yearly business plan for the sales team.
  • Provide timely feedback on the team’s performance and necessary information to enhance the sales strategy and policy.
  • Monitor daily and monthly sales, evaluate them, and set budgets and targets to achieve them.
  • Analyze the market through surveys and studies in order to develop new sales strategies based on customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Coach and support the Sales Team when needed by providing moral support, motivation as well as regular sales meetings and seminars.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the company’s products and services within the sales team and assist management in determining the product range, selling prices, and applicable discounts.
  • Approve all tenders and price quotations to customers for the supply of relevant company products as prepared and recommended by Sales Engineers and Representatives.
  • Coordinate between Sales, Marketing, and other departments to enhance the company’s image and ensure smooth communication while regularly reporting sales activities and results to the Managing Director with high-quality reports.

Requirements in terms of experience, education and competencies

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior sales management position.
  • Experience in chemical construction products and building materials is preferred.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics, requirements, distribution channels, competition.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities with a track record of driving results.
  • Proven leadership abilities in managing a dynamic sales team.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-oriented attitude.
